Award winning worship artist, LouAnn Lee knows first-hand how praise and worship music nurtures and strengthens weary souls and heals the broken hearted. A victim of sexual abuse as a child, LouAnn has experienced God's healing love through worship. "As I allowed Jesus to hold my face in His hands, He took my eyes off of what happened to me as a child, and I began to focus upon the beauty of His face instead...It changed my life. Worship songs are a wonderful way to focus our minds and hearts on Jesus with complete abandon so that all else becomes secondary, and that's exactly where He wants us."
With this understanding, LouAnn transparently blends her life experiences into the songs God moves her to write. Leading people in experiencing God's touch through praise and worship is the ministry that God has laid upon her heart.
LouAnn Lee is a worshipper. Whether leading worship at her home church, standing on a stage in a foreign country, worshipping with her world class band, or praising God in the privacy of her own home worship is simply what LouAnn does. "A personal relationship with God is the essence of life. Purposefully pursuing God through worship, we sing our prayers to the Lord, giving Him all the glory and honor." God has gifted LouAnn with the ability to lead people into an intimate experience with God from which real healing can begin.
LouAnn's heart for God fuels her creativity as a songwriter and radiates the Holy Spirit's healing touch and joy throughout the songs on her eight CD's. Her latest CD entitled, "Unto You," is receiving air play across the nation. "I believe that personal worship times are what truly have value and it is out of those intimate times with the Lord that so many new songs flow. You can teach about it, read books about it and hear sermons about it but there comes a time when you just have to participate. Praise and worship breaks down personal barriers by drawing us into God's presence, encouraging us toward real honesty and vulnerability with Him. That's what having a personal relationship with the living God is all about, and when our relationship with God is on track, our relationships with others is put on a whole new and radically improved plane."
A worship concert with LouAnn Lee is a mixture of so many emotions and experiences. Her concerts are fun, inspiring, uplifting and joyful, but there are times when you feel you are in her home with just her and the Lord and it becomes very intimate. It is during these times that so many people have received a healing touch from the Lord. Her vulnerability allows the power of God to move and there is rarely a dry eye in the house.
An accomplished songwriter, LouAnn Lee has written songs for Bryan Duncan, Crystal Lewis, and Lisa Daggs and has been featured twice on Song Discovery with Worship Leader Magazine. Her song, "Brand New Heart," is the theme song for the House of Myrrh Ministries Heart Change Conferences. A winner at GMA in the Rockies in the worship category, her songs are being sung in churches all over America and abroad. She is the Worship Pastor at Celebration Community Fellowship in Meadow Vista, California. LouAnn is a gifted teacher and speaker in the area of praise, worship and many other topics, and enjoys encouraging others to seek a new level of worship in their lives.
